Do you have family coming in from out of town for your wedding day? Are you stressed that you might not get to see them? Here are a few things that you get do to ensure that you will get to see everyone…and actually spend time with them!
1. Plan a family game night: If you have out of towners coming a few days early for your special day and can take a few extra days off or even half days, plan a family game night on Wednesday or Thursday before your wedding. Order pizza, have a few laughs and spend some quality time with the family and friends who cared enough to come out and help you before your big day. And if you have last minute decorations or party favors that need attention now’s the time to get it done!
2. Breakfast Plans Anyone: Invite them to breakfast on Thursday or Friday. Everyone has to eat! Invite your family and friends over for coffee and muffins. It will be quick and easy ( because you can do store bought ) and it will make them feel very special that you’re taking time to see them.
3. Family outing: If you have everything mostly done and can take a day to relax, now’s the time. Invite family on a day trip to Jerome or Sedona…or any where close by. They are from out of town and would enjoy seeing somewhere other than the reception hall. Everyone can pack a lunch and head out for a nice day before the big day.
4. Post Wedding Day Brunch: If you don’t have time to see family before your big day, what about after? Sleep in and relax with your new hubby, then meet up with your family for brunch. If you can do this at a parents house, you can even take time to open presents with friends and family around to witness all of your new loot. It’s a win, win! They get to see you and you get to unwrap presents, making it easier to compact your pile and get them home!
